Marli Cristiane is an intern in Marriage and Family Therapy, and she brings with her a medical background from Brazil. With 32 years of experience as a pediatric and mental health physician, her journey began with a doctoral degree from Minas Gerais University—Medical School in 1991 and a postgraduate degree in Psychiatry from the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas IPMED MG in 2015. Currently, she is working toward a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Kairos University, where her unwavering pursuit of expanding her knowledge and skills is truly inspiring.

At the heart of Marli Cristiane’s life is a deep love for Jesus and her family. Her three daughters and four grandkids hold a special place in her heart. Her profound passion for helping others shows the true love she finds in Jesus. This passion, combined with her empathetic ability to listen to people’s stories and serve them, brings her immense joy and satisfaction.

Marli Cristiane’s interests are not just hobbies but integral parts of her well-being. She finds solace in traveling, reading, cooking, and hiking, activities that bring her joy and contribute to her overall balance and happiness.
After retiring in Brazil, she courageously decided to move to the USA to be closer to her two daughters and grandkids. She values her connections with her home country and her new home and cherishes her family and friends, a testament to her deep-rooted values of family and connection.

Marli Cristiane’s career transition from the medical field to therapeutic treatment is connected with her adaptability and unwavering commitment to holistic healing. She firmly believes that many health issues can be addressed by healing the soul and mind, not just the body. Her dedication to helping families with their struggles reflects her belief that the family is the foundation of our society.
