A wife and mother of three, she began her journey in Marriage and Family Therapy by earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Kairos University, following her completion of studies at Alliance University in Manhattan. Born in Brazil and now living in CT, Barbara loves spending quality time with her family, relaxing at the beach, and going for enjoyable runs.

Barbara began her career working with children, adolescents, and their parents at the Yale Child Study Center in New Haven, where she conducted research with utmost confidentiality and empathy. She has been working at Redeem Wellness Center and Renovatio Counseling since 2020, where she troubleshoots problems with diplomacy and respect for all as her top priorities. She is a thoughtful listener committed to providing excellent services to clients by building a relationship of trust, safety, and honesty.
